About Me
Through images, I help you discover paths
towards yourself.
There is an artist in me, and there is someone who loves to listen. I am happiest when a meeting leaves another person feeling that life has given them something more. My work is where those two parts of me meet: I create images in the hope that somewhere, for someone, they will make the world a little richer.
You bring more than a commission. You bring a story, a turning point, a part of yourself you are ready to share.I am honoured when you invite me to give it a visible form.
Behind the images on this site lie many years of learning—both the craft of making pictures and the quieter art of listening.
I have attended drawing classes since my early school years. Along the way I was fortunate enough to explore techniques that many amateur artists rarely encounter: etching, aquatint, woodcut and other printmaking methods, airbrushing, charcoal, pastels, watercolour and enamel.
My teacher taught me to look at a subject from more than one angle. He also taught me that sometimes the wisest thing to do with a stubborn picture is turn over the paper and begin again, rather than endlessly patching what is there. And, every so often, to stand back and see the whole. I have carried those lessons far beyond the drawing table.

Around the same time, I learned to handle an old camera assembled from the worlds of Zenit and Praktica. Later, a photography course opened new windows in the way I saw things, and I had the chance to learn from internationally recognised photographers.
My work has appeared in several solo exhibitions and competitions.
I have never trained as a coach. Yet over the years people have entrusted me with stories and secrets that I feel deeply honoured to have heard. I cannot say quite why. Perhaps simply because I love listening. I love it when people tell me their stories.
The wish to be useful to others has always lived alongside that curiosity. Perhaps it comes from my own past; perhaps it is something I inherited. I do not know. What matters is what I do with it.

I have always followed a path of my own. I did well at school and took many extra classes, but good marks were never what kept the wheels turning.
I was forever inventing projects that might add something to the world: a dance evening at school, a competition garden at university, a steampunk photography workshop while learning photography, a baby club while caring for my child.
And when I held my child in my arms, the wishes on my list began to change. I set out to learn and make room for new things:
- Illustrating children's books
- Mastering the art of watercolour painting
- Developing my character illustration skills
- Running creative T-shirt printing workshops
- Building my own business
- Feeling that I'm making a difference through my work, too...
Over time, these separate paths met. They became one purpose, simple enough to say and large enough to keep exploring:
"Through images, I help you discover paths towards yourself."
